About Johnathon
Johnathon Althaus is the lead lawyer of the Enterprise Legal Business Law section and a specialist advisor of small-to-medium-sized businesses and enterprises (SMEs). Johnathon has an incredible ability to simplify even the most complicated legal concepts and combined with his down-to-earth approachability, this makes him an ideal advisor for small and medium business owners and managers. Often described as ‘cool, calm and collected’, Johnathon strives to work collaboratively with all parties involved in a matter, to obtain efficient and cost-effective outcomes for his clients.
Jonathon is a transactional specialist, having worked on hundreds of business purchases and sales and share transactions over his career. In addition to transactions, Johnathon has extensive experience advising in employment matters (including employment disputes), leasing matters and preparing business documents such as Terms and Conditions.

Johnathon further combines his not-for-profit legal experience with his passion for sport and sports law, through his role as a practitioner on the National Sports Tribunal Legal Assistance Panel (NSTLAP), where he provides no-or-low-cost legal advice to parties with a matter before the National Sports Tribunal.
Johnathon is a trusted member of the Enterprise Legal Management Team and along with Managing Director, Peta Gray, also provides high-level legal guidance to the Disputes and Property teams on complex legal matters.
Educational Qualification
Prior to joining the Enterprise Legal team in August 2020, Johnathon was a seasoned conveyancer and property lawyer, having worked in various property law roles at firms in Toowoomba and Brisbane for almost a decade.
Johnathon has a Bachelor of Law from the University of Southern Queensland and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the College of Law. Johnathon is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and is also registered to practise as a Solicitor in any Federal Court in Australia.
