About Peta

Peta Gray is the owner, founder and Managing Director of Enterprise Legal, as well as being one of South-East Queensland’s leading business and property lawyers. Peta is known for being a tenacious and commercial problem-solver and a strong advocate for her clients, whether that be in negotiating the best commercial deal for them or in resolving a complex dispute.

Peta has a ‘broad but specialised’ knowledge of all business and property law matters, as well as the disputes that arise in those areas. Having originally trained predominantly in commercial property law, Peta’s natural acumen and interest in all things business saw her legal practice naturally progress predominantly into business law. Upon founding Enterprise Legal, Peta realised that she had a knack for being able to use her business knowledge and commercial approach to resolve disputes relating to business and property matters and thus further expanded her knowledge and skillset. This unique set of specialised skills makes her extremely well-placed to actively oversee all matters run within the Firm and provide daily mentoring to all members of the Enterprise Legal team in relation to their current matters.

In addition to her active involvement across all Firm matters, Peta works with her own clients across a diverse range of industries, but she possesses particular knowledge and experience in providing legal advice to clients in the following sectors:

transport and logistics
manufacturing
health services

Peta is particularly sought out for her experience with:

negotiating multi-million dollar supply contracts in the logistics and manufacturing sectors
resolving complex shareholder or partnership disputes
advising on complex property matters relating to easements, leasing arrangements and alike
providing advice on complex disputes relating to franchise arrangements
advising on agribusiness structuring and restructuring and disputes, including equitable claims made by relatives against living persons
advising on building and construction related matters.

Peta’s straight-shooting and upfront approach to the practice of law means that she won’t always tell you what you want to hear, but she will tell you what you need to hear!

Educational Qualification

Prior to founding Enterprise Legal in September 2017, Peta had worked exclusively in commercial and property law at other prominent law firms in Toowoomba since 2011. During this time, Peta worked across a vast range of matters, including hundreds of leasing transactions across Retail, Commercial, Industrial and Rural properties, as well as assisted dozens of businesses in navigating the introduction of the Personal Property Securities Act 2009 (Cth), making her a local knowledge leader in these types of matters.

Peta has a Bachelor of Law (Honours) from the Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice, also from QUT. Peta is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland and is also registered to practise as a Solicitor in any Federal Court in Australia.
